Pharmaceutical Chemistry II

(Lectures 4 h/week, Laboratory 20 h. Assessment: final exam at the end of each term or September)

The course deals with the structure, synthesis, mechanism of action, structure-activity relationships and therapeutic application of drugs belonging to the following categories:

  • Non-Steroidal Antiinflammatory Drugs.
  • Antihyperlipidemic Drugs.
  • Sedatives, Hypnotics and Antiepileptics.
  • Fluoroquinolones.
  • Antimicrobial Sulphonamides and Related Drugs.
  • Hypoglycemic and Diuretic Sulphonamides.
