Pharmaceutical Chemistry IV

(Lectures 4 h/week. Assessment: final exam at the end of each term or September)

This course deals with the study of the structure, the synthesis, the mode of action, the structure-activity relationships and the therapeutical application of the following classes of drugs:

  • Histamine agonists and antagonists (acting on H1 and H2 receptors).
  • Drugs acting on the cardiovascular system.
  • Local anesthetics.
  • Vitamins.
  • Steroidal hormones.
  • Antibiotics.
