Research topics

  • Design, synthesis and structure characterization of novel organic aromatic and heteroaromatic compounds with potential anticancer, antiviral and cardioprotective activity. Evaluation of the corresponding pharmacological data, in order to extract structure activity relationships.
  • Synthesis of bioactive natural products analogues, with potential anticancer activity.
  • Synthesis of novel biomarkers for the detection of cellular senescence.

Distinctions

  • Scholarship as an undergraduate student from the Greek State Scholarships Foundation (IKY, 1998-2000).
