MASTER IN INDUSTRIAL PHARMACY

 

Overview

The aim of the program is to provide postgraduate education in the fields of Pharmaceutical Technology, Biopharmaceutics, Pharmacokinetics and Quality Assurance / Quality by Design. It is highly relevant to scientists who are interested in working at production, quality control or research and development departments in the pharmaceutical Industry or they wish to pursue a PhD degree in relevant fields. The program has a duration of eighteen months, i.e. of three academic semesters. The first semester starts in October of each academic year.


Entry requirements

Applicants must have a degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Material Sciences from a Greek University or an equivalent degree from abroad. In the latter case, confirmation of degree equivalence by the Hellenic Academic Recognition Information Center (NARIC, ΔΟΑΤΑΠ) is required. Students are selected according to their graduation degree, undergraduate thesis, existence of additional degrees, peer reviewed publications, attendance of seminars/workshops relevant to the field of Industrial Pharmacy, working experience in the field of Industrial Pharmacy, and an interview hosted by members of the steering committee.  Greek students must confirm adequate knowledge of English language (at least B2 level). Foreign students must confirm adequate knowledge of both Greek and English languages (C1 and at least B2 level, respectively).

Advanced Biopharmaceutics - Pharmacokinetics
Advanced Pharmaceutical Technology - Design and Development of Pharmaceutical Dosage Forms
Statistical Methods and Applications in Pharmaceutical Sciences
Physical Pharmacy and Nanotechnology
Applied Pharmaceutical Analysis
Pharmaceutical Microbiology

2nd semester (30 ECTS):
Industrial Pharmaceutical Practice
Special topics in Industrial Pharmacy
Entrepreneurship in Pharmacy
Laboratory exercises in Industrial Pharmacy

3rd semester (30 ECTS):
MSc Dissertation


Fees/Funding

A total of 2,700 € tuition fees for the entire program is paid in three installments, i.e. 900 € per semester. Terms and conditions for potential waiving of tuition fees and for potential subsidy of tuition fees are stated in the program regulations.
