    • Primarymetabolites
Carbohydrates: monosaccharides, oligosaccharides, polysaccharides 
Lipids: fats and oils,waxes, alkynes
Enzymes
    • Secondary metabolites
Phenolics, shikimates, aceticderivatives:
Shikimates – phenylpropanederivatives: phenols, phenolicacids, coumarins, lignans, neolignans, flavonoids, anthocyanins, tannins, quinones, orcinolsandphloroglucinols. Herba sources containing the previous referred secondary metabolites
