  • Extraction and Isolation with modern extraction techniques (Accelerated Solvent Extraction, Supercritical Fluid Extraction, Subcritical Water Extraction and Microwave Assisted Extraction).
  • Applications of Centrifugal Partition Chromatography and the use of adsorption resins (Adsorption Resin Technology).
  • Automated Medium Pressure Liquid Chromatography (MPLC) and Preparative High Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) techniques.
  • Application of analysis techniques for the characterization of the metabolic profile and the metabolic fingerprinting of total extracts and pure molecules.
  • Coupled technique LC-MS and LC-MS / MS and its application in the analysis of extracts and mixtures of natural origin.
  • Structure determination of natural compounds (flavonoids, alkaloids, coumarins, phenolic acids, lignans, sugars) through the study of their spectroscopic data: Mass spectrometry (MS), Infrared (IR), Nuclear and Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (NMR).
