The Master in Clinical Pharmacy provides the professional knowledge and skills required for the development, implementation and evaluation of clinical pharmacy services. The programme combines academic and theoretical learning with practical training so that pharmacists may acquire the problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills needed to deal with all matters relating to the safe and cost-effective administration and use of medicines and medical devices and the provision of medicines-related information services. Clinical pharmacists provide pharmaceutical care to patients not only within the hospital setting, but also in community pharmacies, private clinics, in nursing homes etc. and any other environment where medicines are prescribed and used. Furthermore clinical pharmacists may play an essential role in clinical research organizations.
